There’s no disputing that 2020 was a year of unexpected challenges and change. Despite being very attached to our app, last year we made the very difficult decision to discontinue it.
Despite being officially retired on December 31, we have allowed for the app to continue working in a limited capacity for the month of January to help ease the transition. Please be aware, however, that the Spoon Guru app will no longer function as of January 31, 2021
We’d like to remind our UK app users that you can still find Spoon Guru’s filters when searching for products on www.tesco.com or through the Tesco app – simply open the “Lifestyle and Dietary” tab on the results page.
While we have also partnered with supermarkets across the world, including Woolworths (Australia), Albert Heijn (Netherlands), and Countdown (New Zealand), we anticipate that more retailers across the globe will come on board in the future. We hope that the ability to access Spoon Guru directly through supermarket sites and apps will make everyone’s search for suitable foods easier.
Thanks again to everyone who has supported our app over the years, especially to those who have given us valuable feedback and encouraged us along the way. While we may be saying goodbye to the app for now, who knows what the future holds.
